Seeds of this Alyogyne huegelii or Lilac Hibiscus. This Australian drought tolerant hibiscus grows to 6 to 8 feet with 4 inch purple – blue flowers in summer. This is an adaptable tender perennial shrub that is lime and drought tolerant. It prefers well-drained soil, but can be grown in sand, loam or clay soils. Can be grown in full sun, or in partial shade. Protection from strong winds is desirable. Little watering is required, especially if the plants are established and well mulched.
