Quart Plant from Philadelphus coronarius. The leaves turn more golden than the Philadelphus lewisii. It is a popular ornamental plant for gardens in temperate regions, valued for its profuse sweetly scented white blossom in early summer. Philadelphus coronarius is a somewhat large plant being 12 feet tall x 12 feet wide at maturity. A fast growing shrub with arching, fountain like form, it fits especially well in corners. Oval, pale green leaves emerge in early spring and then showy white, 1 to 4 inch, single or double blooms follow in early summer. USDA Hardiness Zones 5 to 9
