HARD TO FIND Proboscidea parviflora, or Devils Claw. Devil's claw is a plant native to southern Africa. Its name comes from the small hooks on the plant's fruit. I grow this just because it is pretty, but I know that in some parts of the world it is used for medicial purposes. The very interesting seed pod is where it gets its name. Growing 30 tall, it is an annual in my zone 8B garden.
