Banana Seeds A-J
Musa Ornata or Bronze Banana seeds- of this beautiful and very easy to grow Musa Ornata or Bronze Banana. Originally from southeast Asia this 9 foot plant is hardy to zones 9-11. It can benefit from slow release fertilizer and kept in full sun. It has beautiful pest free foliage and a reddish midrib running down the 6 foot leaf. This easy to grow plant with yellowish edible fruit is very good growing in containers also. The seeds need to be soaked for 24 hrs and then sown 1 deep and kept at 68 - 77 degrees with light. These can take anywhere from 8 weeks to 4 months to germinate.

Banana Seeds K-S
Musa Velvutina or Pink Velvet Banana seeds- of this beautiful and very easy to grow tropical Musa Velvutina or Pink Velvet Banana. Hardy in zones 7-11 and can be planted outside with lots of mulch and frost protection where it needs to be fertilized with slow release fertilizer and kept in full sun. This fast grower doesn't reach grow much taller that 5 feet. I have had mine for five years and none have grown more than five feet. It has beautiful pest free foliage and a burgundy midrib running down the leaf. The flowers are hot pink and the bananas that follow are a beautiful bright pink also. When the inedible fruit totally opens it appears to be a large group of lilies when the banana peels fold back, its quite a sight. This is also a very good house plant in containers and one of the few bananas that will blossom inside. Banana Seeds T-Z
Musa Zebrina or Zebra Banana seeds- of this beautiful and very easy to grow tropical Musa Zebrina or Zebra Banana. Hardy to zones 7-11 and can be planted outside with lots of mulch and frost protection where it needs to be fertilized with slow release fertilizer and kept in full sun. This fast grower doesn't reach grow much taller that 6 feet. It has beautiful pestfree foliage and a burgandy and green variegation covering the whole leaf. This easy to grow banana is also a very good house plant to bring the tropical feel inside. The seeds need to be soaked for 24 hrs and then sown 1 deep and kept at 68 - 77 degrees with light. These can take anywhere from 8 weeks to 4 months to germinate.
